The surface of ceramic cups is often coated with glossy enamel, making the product bright, easy to clean and safe for health.

HOW TO PRESERVE

Ceramic coffee cups are not only a container for drinks but also an important factor affecting the coffee experience. Each type of coffee has its own flavor, characteristics and is suitable for a certain type of cup. Below are the popular types of ceramic coffee cups:

Espresso cup: This type of cup has a small capacity, usually from 50-100ml, suitable for serving espresso - a concentrated coffee with a strong flavor and a thick layer of crema on the surface. Espresso cups are often cylindrical or truncated cone, helping to concentrate the aroma and keep the coffee warm.

Cappuccino cup: With a larger capacity than an espresso cup (about 150-200ml), a cappuccino cup is designed to hold cappuccino coffee - a harmonious combination of espresso, hot milk and a thick layer of smooth milk foam. Cappuccino cups are usually round or bell-shaped, helping to create space for the milk foam and keep the heat well.

Latte Cup: The capacity of a latte cup is larger than a cappuccino cup (about 250-350ml), suitable for enjoying latte coffee - a type of coffee made with more milk and less milk foam than a cappuccino. Latte cups are usually tall and cylindrical, helping to retain heat and create space for the milk layer.

Mug: This is a ceramic cup with a handle, with a variety of capacities, usually from 250-500ml. Mug cups are widely used for many types of hot drinks such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate. The handle design helps you hold the cup easily and comfortably, while keeping your hands from getting burned when drinking hot drinks.

Macchiato Cup: The macchiato cup has a smaller capacity than the cappuccino cup (about 100-150ml). This type of cup is designed to serve macchiato coffee - a variation of espresso with a thin layer of milk foam on the surface.

Camardo’s story begins in 1948, spanning four generations. In the post-war period, during his journey to South America, Grandfather Bartolomeo Camardo becomes interested in coffee culture. Full of enthusiasm and passion, he gets back to Italy and opens a coffee shop in Campo Marzio street in Rome. But he dreams of going back to his homeland: the Molise region, in Southern Italy, with the aim of creating a future for his family and his land.

In 1951 Bartolomeo Camardo opens his first small coffe-roasting boutique in Campobasso. He is given as a present a picture of the Goddess of Fortune, symbolizing good omen since ancient times, and it becomes the icon of Camardo Coffee. Campobasso, Bartolomeo’s hometown is enchanted by the aroma of freshly roasted coffee…

The Camardo Company is a pioneer in coffee exportation abroad reaching markets in Australia, Canada and the United States.

From its birth the coffee bean plays the leading role in our high quality control system, beginning with the selection of the green coffee beans and concluding with the selling of the product. Camardo’s manufacturing plant is situated in Campobasso/Ripalimosani and spans across 15,000 square meters, 10,000 of which are covered. There are 8 production lines for packaging, allowing us to manufacture over 2,000 tons of coffee each year.

70% of the production is destined for the HO.RE.CA. sector, while the remaining 30% is ground and packed for retail or into pods and capsules.

The Camardo mission is to produce a coffee of excellent quality and to promote the culture of espresso as a way to enjoy life. After quality coffee beans are obtained, the most important phase of the production of coffee begins the roasting and the blending. A good roaster must be part artist, and part scientist, to maintain quality and consistency. It is during the roasting process that the sugars and other carbohydrates within the bean become caramelized, creating a substance which is known as the coffee oil. Technically, this fragile chemical is not actually an oil (since it is water soluble), but it is what gives the coffee its flavor and aroma.

At Caffè Camardo we use drum roasting machines to roast the coffee beans as they tumble in a rotating drum that is typically heated by gas. Caffè Camardo is heated only with hot air, so not to tamper with the texture of our coffee, allow us to preserve a zero level of humidity. This is important, as any level of humidity will damage the coffee and accelerate its aging.

When the desired roast is achieved, the beans are poured into a cooling hopper to keep them from overcooking.  One of the most fundamental rules to a true espresso is use the right coffee. Caffè Camardo is the true espresso.
